How this list is produced
The FreighterLog roster is derived empirically: a month of public AIS tracks is filtered to the Great Lakes, aggregated by vessel, and joined to hand-curated operator rosters. Any hull on those rosters with no matching AIS track in that month falls out onto this page. The list refreshes whenever the roster is rebuilt from a newer archive month; the archive currently covers January 2024 to December 2025.
